Privacy Policy

This policy covers every app made by Turner Projects Ltd, Auckland, New Zealand ("we", "us"), including BuildProof, CodeShelfNZ, BuildTools, HoldPoint, HSE, SignIn, HomeTrack, HouseScan and BuildHours, and any app we release in future under the Turner Projects name. In short: we do not run servers for these apps, we do not collect your data, and we do not track you, show ads or sell anything about you.

Where your information is kept

Everything you enter or create in our apps, such as jobs, photos, voice notes, floor plans, timesheet entries, saved places, contacts, notes, invoices and reports, is stored on your own device. It stays there until you choose to send, share or save it somewhere. Deleting an app deletes its data from the device. We cannot see it.

Things you choose to connect or share

  • Your own accounts. Where an app offers it (for example saving to SharePoint, OneDrive or another folder, or sending email), it uses the account or folder you choose, and only when you ask. That information goes to your own service, not to us.
  • AI features (optional). Some apps can use an AI service, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, with your own key. When you tap the button, the text or photos you chose to analyse are sent to that provider. Nothing is sent otherwise. Your key is stored in the device Keychain. The provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to what you send them. AI results are suggestions you must check.
  • Public web checks. An app may download public web pages (for example, a government page, to see if it has changed). Nothing about you or your data is sent.
  • Sharing a file. When you export, share or save a PDF, CSV, photo or report, it goes where you send it using the iOS share sheet or the folder you choose.

Device permissions

Each app asks only for the permissions it needs, and you can change them any time in iOS Settings.

  • Camera, microphone and motion sensors: to take photos, scan rooms and walls, and record voice notes, in the apps that offer them.
  • Photos: to attach existing photos or choose a logo. Copies are saved to Photos only if you switch that on.
  • Location: in apps that offer it, to note where you are or to record arriving at and leaving places you have saved. It records only those arrivals and departures, never your route, and keeps them on your device. These features can be switched off.
  • Contacts: where an app lets you add a contact from your phone, it uses Apple's contact picker. The app only receives the one person you choose, and only when you choose them. Contacts you add or type in are saved inside the app on your device only.
  • Speech recognition: where offered, to turn voice notes into text using Apple's service.
  • Files and folders: where an app lets you pick a folder to save to, it can only write to the folder you choose.

Business details and invoices

Details such as your rates, tax settings, bank details, client details and invoice numbers are stored on your device only. Invoices, PDFs and CSV files are created on your device and go only where you send them.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details.

Tracking and analytics

Our apps contain no advertising, no analytics tools and no tracking. We can see overall figures that Apple provides to developers, such as downloads and subscriptions, but nothing that identifies you or what you do in the app.

Children

Our apps are business tools and are not directed at children.

Your choices

You can delete any record in an app, turn off a permission in iOS Settings, remove a connection in the app's settings, or delete the app to remove everything it stored on your device. Information you sent to your own services is managed in those services.

Changes

If this policy changes, for example when we release a new app or feature, the date above will change.
